If you?ve ever been out there trying to get a better job, I don?t have to tell you how difficult it is. But an extra layer of difficulty arises when you are trying to move up to a higher level in your career to a job you?ve never held before.

For example, if you are a general practice lawyer, who has studied estate planning on your own time, but have no formal experience in estate planning, how do you get a quality law firm to consider you for a specialized position as an estate planning attorney?

The answer: write a blog on the topic of estate planning.

Employers are looking for solutions to problems, not employees. You will only get hired if you are seen as the solution to a pressing problem that has to be solved, not if you are perceived as another person to be added to the payroll who must then be trained to do the job.

So begin your blog on the topic related to the job you want. If you want to move up to a job as a sports writer, start a sports blog. If you want to be hired as computer software sales person, start a blog on the type of software you want to sell.

Subscribe to Google NewsAlerts for current information on the topic your blog is devoted to.

One day after you do this, you will start getting emails from Google with links to news items and new web pages related to this topic. Open your word processor and copy links and small snippets of the text from these alerts and then add your own comments.

Within six months, if you post four or five new articles to your blog every day, you will have a high profile on the internet for your field. Soon, prospective employers will start seeking you out and be contacting you for more information.

The whole idea is to raise your profile and become a recognized authority in your field. And as an expert, you will have no problems breaking into a field you have already demonstrated that you are well qualified for.

When you run a daycare at home, you may think you?ve maxed out your time and effort, but - have you?

Every day you plan a daycare menu, child activities, and offer Mom?s tips for making the most of parenting time, because you have experience in those areas. Why not share your daycare experiences and have additional income?

Blog your daycare experiences, run an online forum for parents, and design a website with Tips for Mom?s and Toddlers, or After School Plans and make a bundle from your efforts with passive income streams. Use your daily child-loved meal plans as pages on your website, or blog the craziest stunt your most recently acquired two year old attempted, and you?ve got a winning site with frequent visitor miles.

When you share your day online, other moms become part of your community and you make a buck or two from an alternative source of business. The day is good. Your active income from running a daycare may only make a few dollars a day with all the deductions, but your alternative income streams may bring you a hundred dollars or more, depending on what kind of income streams you include.

You can Maximize your Daycare Income by sharing what you do, increasing your visibility, and making a name for yourself as an expert in your field of child care.

The daily events that make you laugh with joy or cry tears of distress can bring you fame and additional income if you blog it.

When you share your expert knowledge with other daycare moms through a forum, or website, you can offer benefits and bonuses that bring them more income options. Your ideas become valuable and people begin to look for your words of wisdom.

Perhaps the business blogging bug has not yet bitten you. Never the less, do not under estimate the influence business bloggers have.

While you may not yet have a blog, I highly recommend that you take time to find bloggers who are in fields that are both similar to yours and to some who connect with communities of people who are likely to be in your target audience.

I recommend that you subscribe to a five to ten blogs so you can follow the conversation that takes place on the blog. When the conversation is one that you have an opinion on and could add to, then why not post a comment?

Most business blogs have a facility where you can add your name and website or blog domain address.

If you write a comment of note and add to the conversation, you will find that most business bloggers and the readers of their blog will then follow the link back to find out more about you.

Business blogging is changing the way that we network and connect with people online. Just because you have not established a business blog does not mean you can not participate in the conversation.

You just never know where the conversation may flow to. I have personally found new business associates, joint venture associations and clients through networking on line through my own blog, BizGrowthNews.com and through connecting to other bloggers on their blog.

Make sure that you enhance your personal brand and reputation with fellow business leaders through connecting with business bloggers.

YOUR PERSONAL BRAND ACTION STEPS

The excitement builds up for the final episode of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy which is scheduled to be released on May 25. Even the blogosphere is set ablaze with more guesses. Bloggers are asking: “Is Captain Jack Sparrow going to make it?” Aside from this, another mystery that bloggers intend to unravel is this year?s Volvo?s treasure hunt.

It can be recalled that last summer, the Swedish automaker buried the Volvo XC90 SUV tricked out Pirates of the Caribbean-style. The online hunt for real treasure drew over 100,000 participants worldwide. Since the inception of the online treasure hunt, thousands of would-be treasure hunters have been eagerly awaiting news of the 2007 event.

The automaker is staying quiet, except for one email sent earlier this month inviting past participants to register for the hunt this May. The email was met with enthusiasm. Additionally, bloggers are getting restless about this year?s treasure hunt.

One blogger said: ?Arrrgghhhh! I can smell treasure. Looks like we’re getting closer to discovering what Volvo has in store for us hearty pirates. Check out this photo I dug up. It can’t be long now, mateys!? Another excited blogger said, ?Wow! That’s all I can say. I have been kicking myself for months for not solving it correctly. Thank goodness for redemption… Arrrrrrrrrr!”

One blogger uttered motivating words: “I can’t wait fer another chance at the booty! Bring it on, Volvo!” Another netizen said, ?High Tide is comin’! Get ready to set sail!!!! We’re goin’ on a Voyage to find the TREASURE!”

It seems that excitement is increasingly growing each day that even Volvo brake pads could not handle the intensifying build up. And the wildfire has spread to chatters. They said, ?Volvo?s got some new treasure and it?s up for grabs. There are rumblings of a treasure hunt coming, sure to challenge even the toughest buccaneers around. You can bet all the rum on the ship that this hunt isn?t for the lily-livered (that?s faint of heart to you land lovers). If you had the good fortune (and what pirate doesn?t?) to play in last year?s hunt, you must be scratching your head thinking, ?Surely Volvo can?t make the hunt and treasure any better than last year.??

One chatter answered, ?Well, you?re dead wrong, me hearty. The treasure this year will shock even the toughest swashbucklers out there. Start sharpening your wit, dust off your olde compass and keep your eyes peeled. You don?t want to miss this one! One more thing before I go raise my pirate flag, check out www.disney.com. Looks like my old acquaintances Captain Jack Sparrow and ?Bootstrap Bill? Turner might have heard the Volvo hunt rumor too??

“We love the hunt blogs, it’s so exciting for us to see how revved up people are for this year’s hunt,” said a representative from Volvo Cars, who would speak under the condition of anonimity at this stage of the game. “But we’re taking no chances this year and we’re keeping our cards close to our chest - we know how talented and dedicated our treasure hunters are from our experience of last year’s hunt. All I can say is, be patient. We’re putting the final touches on plot twists and high seas trickery. You’ll hear soon enough and you won’t be disappointed.”

You have a new blog and you want to be read by thousands of people. But how to get them to your blog?

For start you must have some posts. Search engines and people must read something on your blog. So if you don?t have content add some before start promoting the blog. Remember if the content is high quality people will talk about your blog to other, that brings you extra free traffic.

So let us start promoting the blog.

1. Let search engine know you exist.

The idea is to get the search engines come and index your site. There is a free service that submits your blog in 20 search engines. All you have to do is to choose the desired search engines where you want the blog to appear, write the url and a valid email address. You may submit from http://www.freewebsubmission.com.

2. Submit your blog to blog directories

Submitting to blog directories will help you increase the number of visitors, your page rank and your search engine position. Submit in as many blog directories as you can.

3. Submit your blog to general and niche directories

Submitting general and niche get a better search engine position and will increase the number of readers for your blog. For directory submission you can use a software tool to automatize the process and save weeks of work. You can gat a free trial for the software from http://www.submiteaze.com/index.jsp?aff=137.

4. Submit you feeds to Rss directories

Submit your blog to all of the directories listed at http://www.rss-feeds-directory.com/blog_lists.html to get extra traffic.

5. Use social bookmarks

Adding social bookmark links to your blog makes it easy for your visitors to save and share your content. There is a free tool to make social bookmarks: http://www.toprankblog.com/tools/social-bookmarks.

6. Use Article Directories

Article directories can be a great resource for articles to post on your blog. Here are a few: http://ezinearticles.com, http://goarticles.com, http://www.knowledge-finder.com
http://www.informit.com/articles.

7. Start a press release campaign

When you have enough content on your blog start a press release campaign. You will find a lot of press release distributors just using a search engine.

8. Place the link and description of your blog in your signature

So that any posts to forums, outgoing emails, auto responder courses will promote your blog.

9. Locate blogs with a lot of traffic and place useful comments in their comment box.

Be sure the blog and your comments are relevant to both your blog and theirs. Senseless posts won’t help you, they’ll hurt you.

10. Use ping services

Pinging will alert different search engines that your blog has updated. So the crawlers will come and index your new post. They crawl and index your site and your blog gets more visitors. The ping tool that I recommend is http://autopinger.com.

All this techniques I have personally used with success on my blog http://www.gadgets-club.com. This gadget blog was launched in January 2007 and attracted 6016 visits in less than 20 days.
Remember to make a blog post as often as possible. More than once a day is not really necessary.

Success.

Here I will list some of the mistakes good blogs make. When I say a good blog, I mean, it has everything that is necessary to make it a success (nice design, well written content, etc )but it fails in one important part of the execution. With these 3 top tips , you soon will be seeing visitors return to your blog, and who knows, they might even start to link to your blog on their blogroll.

Caring about Comments

Allowing comments and nurturing comments, is something that can easily be done and will give you many times the return back. First of all, on your blog, you should enable comments on your posts. Getting feedback and hearing what your visitors want to read is invaluable. This first step is pretty easy, but the second one takes a bit more time. When you have new comment, it is important to acknowledge it, either reply and thank them for taking the time to comment, or send them a personal email asking them if there is any topics you should write about. Building up a relationship with your readers will make sure that they will return and possibly spread the word about your new blog. So treat every comment as sacred.

Easy Access to Read

It may sound like a simple message, but people should not be hindered too much by trying to read your blog post. Try and keep it short and to the point. Veering off topic will only serve to annoy your readers. Also offer them an easily seen link to your RSS feed. I would recommend to use FeedBurner.com to syndicate your RSS feed, as it offers extra add-ons like an email notification to your readers when you have written a new post.

Find Friends in Similar Areas

It is important to get the word out to readers about your blog. And one of the ways you can do this is by leaving comments in other relevant blogs, and add your site in the applicable profile field. Most cases, authors won’t mind having a link to your site as long your comments on their blog are constructive. Here you are targeting two sets of people, one is other blog authors who are likely to check out your blog and maybe mention you in a post, and two reach new blog readers, who are already by their nature interested in the topic you post aboutFind Article, and they are likely go and visit your website too.

OK You’ve Tried:

  • Blogging
  • Blog and Ping
  • Automated Sites
  • AdSense
  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Creating A Website

AND NOTHING IS WORKING!!!

NOW I can’t help you with Automated Sites . . . they don’t work, but I can help you with the rest. There is an answer to this dilemma and that answer IS…

(Drum Roll Please)

YOUR LIST

Let’s go down the list of items above:

BloggingIf you own a list you can inform your list about your new Blog and you’ll create instant traffic.

Blog and PingEvery time you post and you MUST post often (when you start out, you should post everyday), you ping your Blog. Posting just once a week or once a month won’t do it. You must be consistent with your postings.

And again, every time you post, you MUST Ping It.

  • Pingoat.com
  • Pingomatic.com
  • Ipings.com

are just a few places you can go to Ping your Blog(s). This will increase your traffic and if you use www.blogger.com to create your blog, you will get indexed very quickly.

You should link your website to your www.blogger.com Blog and vice versa. This will get your NEW website indexed by Google fast.

And you should have more than one Blog.

Why???

One Suggested TechniqueMarketing is a numbers game, so if you have a Blog that’s making you a few dollars a day, DUPLICATE IT many times. In other words, create another Blog under a different niche and make sure that the niche is popular, and then design that blog in the same way you designed the first Blog, that is, the Blog that is Now making you money.

How many Profitable Blogs should you create?

As many as you possibly can. Just answer this question:

How much money do you want to make?

If your first Profitable Blog is earning you 5 dollars a day, that’s $150.00 a month on average.

If you create,10 Profitable Blogs: $1500.00 a month.

20 blogs: $3000.00 a month.

What if you created 100 Profitable Blogs?

Could you live on $15,000 a month or $180,000 a year?

How much effort would you put into your internet marketing efforts if you could make $180,000 a year? How hard would you work?

But My God John . . . How Can I Create 100 Bloggggggsssss???!!!

I’m gonna give you the answer.

It’s easy!

This is one of the techniques when Blogging and Making Money is your Main Objective, it takes a little work (it becomes much easier with the tool above) but it’s a definite way to Succeed through your blogging efforts.

AdSense, Amazon ads etc.AGAIN . . . if you own a list, you’ll have traffic going your Websites and Blogs where you have placed your AdSense ads, Amazon ads etc. and a percentage of your visitors will click on an ad that interest them, wouldn’t you?

Affiliate Marketing (See AdSense, Amazon ads etc. :-)

AdSense and Your WebsiteYou can use the same technique with your AdSense Ads placed on your website, just create Multiple websites with Great Content. Again if you create a website with AdSense ads placed on it and you’re making an income of $5.00 a day through your AdSense placed ads, then just Duplicate that website many times over.

Just remember . . . one Blog or one Website will not do it, you will not make a fortune from one site, you Must Duplicate.

If you think you?ll make a killing by having one Blog or website with a little AdSense here and there, you?re probably killing your business.

I won?t say it?s impossible to make money with one Blog or Website, but it?s rare. So rare, in fact, that I feel safe in saying that anybody who claims to be an AdSense ?guru? Has Multiple WebSites and Blogs, each making not very much money. But when you add them up . . . Ka-Ching!!!

Prepare yourself to create and maintain multiple sites. Tens or even hundreds of sites.

Doing that manually could drive you insane, or force you to quit. We?re all given only 24 hours every day.

Answer to this problem … coming up.

This technique puts you in over-drive. And it gets easier when you have a list of Opt-in subscribers to send to your sites.

Opt-in List = Targeted Traffic to your Blogs and Websites

and

Targeted Traffic = Money

This is not Rocket Science or Brain Surgery, just remember, Everything Begins with your List and you grow monetarily from there. You’ve heard it a zillion timesFeature Articles,

“The Money Is In The List”

and the easiest way to make money from Blogging . . . is to Build THAT List…

Blogs are one of the biggest innovations on the Internet in recent years. Many people have discovered that compared to a full all singing web site a blog is so much easier and quicker to create. It can also be very profitable if you can come up with interesting and informative blogs to either advertise your web site or make money directly from your blog..

There are many ways that you can monetize your blog . It is not uncommon for some of the more popular blogs to sell advertising. Adding Adsense to blogs is another popular way of making money. Another option is to include reviews and links to sales pages to earn affiliate commissions. These are great ways to bring in extra income month after month, especially if many people read your blog each day.

Blogs can also be a good way to attract visitors to your main site and raise your own profile within your niche. If your goal is to draw visitors to your website, creating a blog is a great way to get visitors interested in your site and the products or services you have to offer.

Although blogs are extremely easy and inexpensive to set up they do require time and effort to run. A successful blog requires fresh content to be added ideally on a daily basis and at least once a week. If you only post say once a month you will not gain the real benefits of having a blog. The reason search engines love blogs so much is because fresh content is regularly being added.

To ensure that I have enough material to keep my blogs updated regularly I have a supply of Private Label Rights material that I can use. When you buy Private Label Rights whether it is as articles or e-books you can copy it and make any changes and use it as you want.

I tend to break up the material into blog sized chunks, in my case between 300-400 words and I will use these to post on days that I do not have the time to write something fresh myself. I do not usually tend to copy the items word for word as some search engines can penalise you for having exactly the same content as another web site. It is very simple and quick just to rewrite the first and last sentence just to make each entry original.

Private Label Rights material is freely available on the Internet these days and is a very inexpensive way to get content for your blogs. And of course you can also use it on your web sites or to create an e-book in double quick time.

You write a blog religiously every day or so. You provide informative, interesting content for your loyal readers. You?ve even got a couple of affiliate links in there, too. But is this enough to get great search engine results for your efforts?

Probably not. Sure, you?ll get listed with the search engines easily. But without a top twenty listing at one of the majors (Google, Yahoo! or MSN), you won?t have traffic, literally, banging down your door.

In order to get better search engine results you need to make sure you are using the right keywords (and know how to use them), have links pointed your way and regularly check the results of your hard work. Here?s how.

Choosing Appropriate Keywords

Do you know what search terms your visitors are using to find you? Most blogging sites give you the option of checking up to see just how people found you. If you don?t have this feature available, hop over to http://www.statcounter.com/ and install their free service on your blog immediately.

Next, research those keywords. Visit Overture?s free site (http://inventory.overture.com/) and type in the most generic of the terms people are using to find your blog. You?ll get a list of related keywords used at a major search engine in the past month. Although it is an oversimplification of the search engine optimization process, try and stick to the more unusual but natural-sounding keywords as your top picks.

Putting Keywords in the Right Places

Once you?ve picked a keyword that applies directly to your blog, make sure to incorporate it into the following portions of one complete blog posting:

# The title;
# The first sentence;
# Each header (if you have any);
# Once a paragraph; and
# The last sentence.

If you have any links to outside sources, use the same keyword as your link text where possible. Also, for each blog posting, try and pick a different (but related) keyword to use. Feel free to reuse keywords every 30-45 postings.

Submitting to Directories

Your third step is to take these keyword optimized blog postings and post them to the article and blog directories. Most of the search engines determine the relevancy of your blog by how many outside websites link directly to you; therefore, posting your blog entries (with a link back to your site in your resource blurb) is an easy and straightforward way of doing so.

Checking Your Progress

It may take a couple of days to see any results, so try and wait a week before you take a look at StatCounter. Have your hits increased at all? Are there any new search engine referrals?

To track your blog?s ascent up the search engine rankings for any given keyword, try Digital Point?s free Keyword Tracker Tool (http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/). It is an excellent way of ensuring your blog positioning efforts are paying off.

With all blog postings, content is key. Without useful, interesting information that cannot be found elsewhere, your visitors won?t come back for more. Incorporate these simple search engine optimization techniques into your blogging practice however, and you?ll both keep the visitors you already have and dramatically increase your readership through high ranking search engine placement in no time.
